Chillin' with the iPod

One of my favorite things in the whole world is music. Right now, as I write this Sting's When We Dance is playing; I've got the iPod on random so any of over 3,000 songs could come up next and change my mood entirely, but right now I chillin' ....uh oh now it's U2's No Line On the Horizon, and feel like getting in my car and going 100 mph. Is not the iPod the coolest thing since music? I mean seriously, from Sting and U2 to Beethoven and Hans Zimmer all in the palm of your hand, oh and with video on certain models.

I should explain that I'm one of those people who works better with music kickin' out than with complete silence, drives my wife a bit nutty, but my 12 year old son is the same way and so is my 6 year old daughter. Truth is if I could I'd have music playing 24/7 I would. Ha! Now it's Rascal Flatts Life is a Highway, another great driving song which reminds me of a certain date ....but that's for another time. REO Speedwagon I Wish You were There.

There's something I have to admit though, for the first time in my life I don't have a rockin' stereo in my car. Been visiting Car Toys a lot lately drooling over a set they have there that is just sick. And did I mention they have 0% financing for up to 24 months? And that my credit rating is nice and healthy? As Napoleon Dynamite would say "Gosh!! This Sucks!!" If you're thinking just go get it Steve, well I made a promise to my wife that we'd pay cash for just about everything and that sadly includes 1,500 watt car stereo systems. Which aren't cheap, so I have to save up my spare cash for that very special day when I too can damage my ears again. BTW you're all invited to go for a drive when that day comes and we'll listen to anything you want, as long as you like your music loud, ..ahh one of my favorite sing-a-longs, Styx Come Sail Away, so dear readers nothing heavy today, I just finished my first paper for my internship and I'm feeling, well, chill, chat with you soon!

Steve
